During your first meeting we assist you in understanding the aged care system and what is involved in this complex journey. This meeting is valuable for setting you on the right path and can be held in person or via video link.

- The current Aged Care landscape- factual information is provided on Home Care Packages and/or Residential Aged Care.
- Choosing where to live as your care needs change. Retirement Village, Granny Flat or aged care? We can help you work through the financial outcomes and consequences of various elderly living arrangements you may be considering.
- Finding a provider – How this process works and what to be aware of.
- Understanding the cost of care – an explanation of the various fees that are involved with home care & aged care. For most clients this is a complex area and time is taken to ensure you understand the different fees involved.
- Aged Care fees and financial outcomes – At this meeting we provide you with an overview of what your aged care fees will be. How this is likely to change if you leave your home vacant, rent your home or sell your home. We calculate your aged care fees including means testing and implications to your Centrelink Age Pension, if applicable, and what self funded retirees need to be aware of. For couples entering care this can be a complex area to understand and professional assistance is often critical to ensure you are not paying more than is necessary. We recommend that you don't complete your Services Australia cost of care forms until after this meeting is held.
- Other things you need to be aware of when considering your next steps. Your aged care journey is unique, and we may cover many other related topics during this meeting that are relevant to your aged care considerations such as estate planning, legal implications, Centrelink etc. After this meeting it may be apparent that further specialist advice is required. If this is the case, Aged Care Solved works with your existing Financial, Legal or professional Advisers and if you don't have one we work with a panel of professionals to ensure all your needs can be covered.

Aged Care Solved is owned and operated by Lyn Walker. Lyn is a specialist Aged Care Adviser and assists clients and other professionals such as Financial Planners, Lawyers and Accountants helping their clients through the complex area of Aged Care.
We focus on the provision of Aged Care financial information and education about the Aged Care system and Aged Care placement services to assist in finding a suitable facility.
We also help age pensioners resolve Centrelink issues, lodge age pension claims and ensure your age pension payment is correct.
Our team is passionate about helping individuals navigate the complex area of Aged Care. Services are based on your needs and around what "you" require assistance with. Some people only need help in understanding the fees associated with Aged Care, others need help to find a suitable Aged Care facility, and some need the whole move into aged care project managed for them. Aged care is not a "one size" fits all situation and Lyn helps you work through what you need to be aware of for your loved one.

As part of a move into Aged Care you are required to complete forms and submit financial information to Services Australia (Centrelink). There are financial consequences associated with no completing these forms on time or declining to provide this information.
