Navigating aged care can be a very challenging time in your life. Our introductory meeting can assist you in understanding the aged care system and what is involved in this complex journey. This meeting is valuable for setting you on the right path and can be held in person or via video link.

• Your concerns -Aged care topics that are of immediate concern to you.
• The current Aged Care landscape- factual information is provided on Home Care Packages and/or  Residential Aged Care.
• Choosing where to live as your care needs change
• Retirement Village or aged care?
• Finding a provider – How this process works and what to be aware of.
• Understanding the cost of care – an explanation of the various fees that are involved with aged care. For most clients this is a complex area and time is taken to ensure you understand the different fees involved with aged care.
• Aged Care fee estimate – At this meeting we provide you with an overview of what your aged care fees will be. How this is likely to change if you leave your home vacant, rent your home or sell your home. We explain means testing and implications to your Centrelink Age Pension, if applicable, and what self funded retirees need to be aware of.
• Other things you need to be aware of when considering aged care. Your aged care journey is unique, and we may cover many other related topics during this meeting that are relevant to your aged care considerations such as estate planning, Centrelink etc. After this meeting it may be apparent that specific Financial Planning advice is required to improve or add value to your financial position, or legal advice to cover Estate Planning or Enduring Power of Attorney requirements. If this is the case, Aged Care Solved works with your existing Financial or Legal Advisers and if you don't have one we work with a panel of professionals to ensure all your needs can be covered.

Aged Care Solved is owned and operated by Lyn Walker. Lyn is a specialist Aged Care Adviser and assists clients and other professionals such as Financial Planners, Lawyers and Accountants helping their clients through the complex area of Aged Care. 

We focus on the provision of Aged Care information and education about the Aged Care system and Aged Care placement services to assist in finding a suitable facility.

We also help age pensioners resolve Centrelink issues and ensuring  your age pension is correct. 

Lyn is passionate about helping individuals navigate the complex area of Aged Care. Services are based on your needs and around what "you" require assistance with. Some people only need help in understanding the fees associated with Aged Care, others need help to find a suitable Aged Care facility, and some need the whole move into aged care project managed for them. Aged care is not a "one size" fits all situation and Lyn  helps you work through what you need to be aware of for your loved one.

It can be difficult knowing which aged care facilities have vacancies and then combining this with what you can afford. We are in regular contact with Aged Care facilities and can help you find a suitable room, based on your budget and preferences.

Jullie has joined our team in 2022. Jullie has over 15 years experience working in the financial planning industry and has excellent client service skills. Jullie previously worked with Lyn for many years at ANZ Financial Planning. She possess empathy, has great communication skills and has a passion for solving problems for our clients.  Jullie has many contacts within Aged Care Facilities on the Gold Coast and loves the challenge of finding a suitable facility for clients having difficulty navigating the process of finding a room.
